Logging in
You'll receive an invitation by email in Week 1. Use it to set your password and log in at mazzengacua.omeka.net/admin.
Items and sites
Omeka S keeps two things apart that most software mixes together. An item is a description of a thing — a photograph, a letter, a report — recorded in fields you choose. A site is the public page that presents items to a visitor. You will build both: item sets to describe your collection, and a site to display it. That distinction is the real content of the second half of this course, so it's worth sitting with rather than rushing past.
